Holiday Ornament Swap Decorations Completed

I have spent the past few evenings making my decorations for the 5th Annual Holiday Ornament Swap, they are now all packaged up and ready to go in the mail tommorrow. Its funny to think these little hearts will be decorating trees and houses in all corners of the world they are headed off to ....UK, USA, Europe and Austraila!
I look forward to seeing what lovely ornaments arrive in the mail over the coming weeks and will post some pics of them up here and in the Flickr Group.

Its Swap Time..Sign up here for the PhatSheep Handmade Button Swap

Anyone fancy taking part? I’ve never organized a swap before and as I have a BIG love for buttons of all shapes and sizes I thought this would be a fun swap to set up. Here are the swap rules:

Each person will make for their swap partner a set of 6 co-ordinating or themed buttons, sizes can vary.
The buttons can be made in any-way you choose with whatever material you like, only rule is they must be useable by the recipient so please bear this in mind when you are being creative!

Also include something handmade which features/uses a handmade button (this doesn’t have to match the set you are already sending your swap partner but can if you like).

As with all swaps please feel free to include some random extras but it is not necessary.

I’m thinking January 25th for the sign up deadline and February 14th (romantic Eh?) for the Post out deadline. I’ll keep you updated here if there are any changes to these dates. To sign up please leave a comment below and e-mail me with your postal adress. I’ll be back in touch with you partners details after the 25th Jan.

Also a BIG thankyou to everyone who took the time to vote for my fabric over at Spoonflower, I'm currently in a very respectable 2nd place, so we will have to wait and see what happens in the next 24 hours!

Handmade Loveliness

I can spend quite a lot of time browsing through Etsy and the Treasury is such a great feature, the combinations people put together would make great posters and its an excellent advert for peoples work. Its such a popular part of the site that in order to make your own treasury you have to be on the site at the treasury page at just the right minute when space becomes available. Now I've tried to do this on several occasions and for one reason or another never quite managed it. So this weekend I was very pleased with myself when I did happen to be in the right place at the right time and managed to create my own little treasury full of only a tiny fraction of the items on my list of favourites. Its only up for another day but if you want to check out some of the products and who sells them - and I really think you should! then click here
