PhatSheep goes to France...

I have been very lucky to be invited to take part in a fantastic Christmas Market in Paris in late November. I have been chosen along with 2 other Shetland based textile designers to travel to Paris and take part in the Melting Shopping Christmas Market in the Goutte D'or Neighourhood of Paris, the market runs from 21st to 23rd November. Not only is it a great opportunity for me to sell PhatSheep textiles directly to Parisians but hopefully I'll have some time to explore the city, but lots of sewing to be done in the next few weeks to prepare............

Photoshoot

Yesterday was spent doing a photoshoot of new products, I'm currently working on an update and re-design of the phatsheep website, its nearly there now I have new photos so I hope to be able to launch the new site within the next fortnight - I've set myself a public deadline now so I'll have to finish it!

Can you spot the little hand reaching for the orange campervan, somebody got a bit fed up I was using his toys for props!

p.s Swatch packs of the new fabrics available for sale in the phatsheep fabrics etsy shop, I think they'd be great for small craft projects.

New Fabric design

At long last the fabric featuring the 4 new phatsheep designs has arrived. It was well worth the wait as it looks great. The print is really crisp, the colours have reproduced exactly as I'd hoped and the fabric itself is lovely.
I'm really looking forward to sewing some purses, cushions and bags with this, but I'm also looking forward to posting them up in the new Phatsheep Fabrics Etsy Shop and selling Fat Quarter and fabric packs.
I hope they sell well and I look forward to seeing what people make with these fabrics. The colours in the fabrics co-ordinate so they can all be used together, I think they'd work great mixed with some plain colours in a quilt.
I'm thinking that to celebrate the arrival of the fabrics I ought to have a bit of a giveaway......will get my thinking cap on back to you all about that very soon
